Gladney Adoption Study

Data collection is underway on a new research project exploring a baby’s transition from birth to an adoptive family. Together with the Gladney Center, we will be collecting information on how a baby’s biochemistry and behavior reflect the biochemistry and emotions of both the birth mother during pregnancy and of the adoptive mother after birth. Of special interest, through our collaboration with NeuroScience, Inc., we will be able to measure neurotransmitter levels (the brain’s chemical messengers) and examine the relationship between these levels in mothers and infants.
