Theraplay and Autism

In partnership with Theraplay the Institute is running a pilot study on the effectiveness of Theraplay intervention with autistic children.

We are very excited to begin a research study examining the efficacy of the Theraplay® method as an intervention model for THREE- to SEVEN- year old children diagnosed with PDD-NOS or mild to moderate autism.

The goal of this study is to explore the effectiveness of Theraplay® methods for playful parent-child interaction with autistic children. Specifically, personalized therapeutic guidelines for parents to engage, calm, manage, and increase interactions with their child will be used.
